In this section I will use all of the research I have gathered to plan the first and the second page of my production.

First Page First Draft

On the first page of my local newspaper I want to include a very interesting story which will attract the reader to my newspaper from the moment they glance at it in the shop. I want to deliver specified news like the merseymart does but my aim is to add more excitement and scandal to the newspaper. I will be using Microsoft publisher for the creation of my newspaper. The newspaper will also include :

• Price
• Email Address
• Contact number
• Slogan
• The Date

The front page will also include a smaller story about the city council and about the grit and wheel bin crisis. Sport news involving both Liverpool based teams will occupy the front page along with a story on a bar on allerton road which will further interest the target audience. lastly their will be advertisement at the bottom of the page promoting the local boots chemist and the new wetherpersons opening on the Childwall fiveways.

First page Second Draft

This is the improved draft of my first page which is including the articles which I will be including in the first edition of my newspaper. I believe the colours I have used for my heading will stand out and attract the readers eye towards the newspaper. The dramatic story which heading will stand out from the other papers up for sale in the shop.
The dramatic story which is visible on the centre of the front page is whats going to immediately draw the reader towards the newspaper. It is going to be involving a local murder around the area of south Liverpool, this story interests a lot of people because of the serious nature of the article. In the right hand corner I am going to be giving away a free DVD of the recent local film 'Awaydays' which has been an instant success. This strategy will be an important in promoting the newspaper to a wide audience. The two smaller columns in the left hand corner of the page will be of a bar on allerton road 'Vinchi' to promote the bar and restaurant. I will also have a coll um about the sports news which will be available to read on the back page. The sports news will be predominately football because of the popularity of the sport in the city of Liverpool.
Lastly on the first page their page there will be a very small section at the bottom of the page for advertisement for a popular brand. The colour of the title will change because of the colour associates more with femininity.
